Immersed in the world of jazz from an early age, Stephy Haik realized a childhood dream when she attended New York. La Guardia High School Of Performing Arts (portrayed in the popular film and television series “Fame.”) Following the completion of her high school studies, she broadened her musical range by attending Manhattan School of Music. With the rigorous inter-disciplinary training she received, she was able to move with complete ease between styles ranging from R’n’B/Soul and Classical to Musical Theater and Jazz. In addition to collaborating with well-known artists, she has written and performed on various soundtracks and compilations, including the Elite Models ,produced by ,Henri Scars Struck, which was released by Pschent/Wagram worldwide.
Yet, Jazz has always remained her first love. Her live repertoire consists of original composition and standards , all reworked in her very own style . It is her unique phrasing, incredible generosity and great sensitivity that is displayed what the Village Voice called “a rare sense of sensitivity and sensuality.”
Jazz legend Andre “Dede” Ceccarelli recently invited Stephy to perform on his all-star album, “Carte Blanche”—which also features Didier Lockwood, John Mc Laughlin and Richard Galliano—to sing a cover of Lou Reed’s “Walk On The Wild Side.” Fueled by the popularity of her featured track, Stephy toured this year some of Europe’s largest jazz festivals with Ceccarelli this summer, (joined by jazz greats Biréli Lagrène ,David El-Malek, Baptiste Trotignon, Rémi Vignolo, Sylvain Luc, Florin Niculescu) : Banlieues Bleues, Parc Floral de Paris, Festival Django Reinhardt de Samois, Orléans Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Montreux Jazz Festival, Toulon Jazz Festival, Nice Jazz Festival, Jazz In Marciac…

Directed by Helene Vincent, arranged by Regis Huby, the show toured all year in france , ending triumphantly in Paris' l'Opera Comique. The show will continue its tour in America as well as in Europe.
The "Nuit Americaine" DVD has finally just been released with Telmondis and the CD with Chant Du Monde.
